Your applications are not closing MySQL connections properly

Well, your applications are not closing MySQL connections properly. Do they ever call something like mysql_close($connection) (PHP), $databaseconnection->disconnect; (Perl) or similar? We here at serverfault.com can't possibly know that without seeing your application source code. :-)

  • I don't know actually what are they calling, when i run mysqltuner the error is showing, but yesterday i did not see this error. Apr 30, 2012 at 13:04
  • Then someone has updated the application, the database or something else. Apr 30, 2012 at 13:07
  • Is it related to /etc/my.cnf configuration? Cause i have only changed my.cnf configuration Apr 30, 2012 at 13:13
  • Impossible to know without you showing us the changes between your old and new my.cnf ... anyway I'm still suspecting the applications. Apr 30, 2012 at 13:15
