First of all I am not a sysadmin and so this is all new for me.

Running on :CENTOS 6.4 x86_64 , Cpanel/WHM 11.36.1 (build 6)

Problem : My root disk is getting full but I cannot find the files that are causing this.

How the hell does that make 34GB , since home in on a different partition. Help much appreciated.

General hint: Use du -shx / (--one-file-system) instead.

You should reboot the system and run fsck on the root device.

And have a look at this. Your question may be considered off-topic here anyway.
