We use application which stores files in shared folder (with DFS function). How to secure files that were edited? For example after file editing previous version should be accessible via system bin. Is there any script or system setting to turn on this function?

Windows 2000 Server case.

I recall newer Windows versions doing versioning with "shadow copies"... don't know if Windows 2000 has that. – grawity Jan 13 '10 at 16:16
shadow copies for network shared folders is right options but not in win 2000 :( – mn. Jan 16 '10 at 23:41
