I am trying to trace data access. The configuration I have is based on this excellent article.

The article is well written and the instructions seem clear.

I have followed the instructions yet I do not see any events logged. I am using Windows 2003 SP with MDAC 2.8 SP2. My application uses ODBC for connecting to the database. Seems like everything is present to make this work yet I see nothing logged.

I am running with local admin access to the server in question.

Wondering if there is some other setting somewhere (Windows permission or something) which needs to be set for event logging to occur.

What kind of application are you running? Are you sure it has proper permissions for event logging? – Jeff Jan 15 '10 at 22:59
Backoffice application using odbc to interact with the database. What kind of permissions are necessary for event logging. – GeorgeR Jan 17 '10 at 3:17
