I am trying to connect users to MVware vCenter Lab Manager instance from Ubuntu 9.10 desktops.

This requires VMWare's VMware WebCenter Remote MKS Plug-in (2.1.0.0) to be installed on the client browser.

The plugin installs and runs (in Firefox 3.0.x or 3.5.x), however the emulation of the mouse is broken, the mouse is able to click but not able to track across the screen.

I have read community posts about this working in Ubuntu 9.04. Has anyone successfully connected users to Lab Manager from Ubuntu 9.10 and resolved this issue?

are you on the latest libstdc++ ? (packages.debian.org/stable/base/libstdc++5) – Chopper3 Feb 16 '10 at 22:57
I was on an older version from the Ubuntu repos. I'll give the newer package a whirl. Thanks. – Trastle Feb 17 '10 at 0:33
The latest libstdc++ makes no difference. Tested this on Ubuntu 8.04 last night and the plugin is OK. It would seem that older libraries work but newer ones do not. – Trastle Feb 17 '10 at 22:03
