I am getting the following error on log restores for a certain DB in a log shipping setup:

During restore restart, an I/O error occurred on checkpoint file 'H:\DFLT\RestoreCheckpointDB22.CKP' (operating system error 1784(failed to retrieve text for this error. Reason: 15105)). The statement is proceeding but cannot be restarted. Ensure that a valid storage location exists for the checkpoint file.

The path indicated is the default backup folder and it exists. All relevant services have full access to this folder. The restore is successful, but the errors are truly annoying.

The error does not occur on every log restore (in fact there is another database for which the error doesn't occur at all) I can only assume that it does not always have to create this file. I have read a number of posts on this error and most seem to center around the existance of and permissions on the folder in question - I believe I have verified both

The environment is Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008.

Thanks in advance for your help
