Is there a way to change a managed client account (on Snow Leopard) to an unmanaged account?

The problem here is that the server broke down and now the client is unable to login. I can access the client, so I thought removing the managedness from the account would be the easiest solution. The server is not needed anyway.

Do you have a local admin login for the client? – lepole Jul 12 '10 at 10:29
@lepole: Yes. The machine is up and running on a local admin account. – Nikolai Ruhe Jul 12 '10 at 16:58
What sort of managed account are you using? It is a network account? a mobile account? – Clinton Blackmore Jul 13 '10 at 16:31
@Clinton Blackmore: I'm not exactly sure how the type of account is called, but It's the type you get when having a (leopard) server in a local net and creating a new account on a connected client. The client then asks if it should use the server and become a managed client. – Nikolai Ruhe Jul 15 '10 at 8:11
