I need to stop an app from connecting to its update server. So far I've tried to create an inbound rule for the app start *.exe. But it's not working for some reason. I've looked the processes in task manager and the app seems to have a single process. Any advice would be more than welcome.

You should know which port and protocol the application uses to update. – lg. Jul 28 '10 at 7:45
