I tested using abyss apache server, lighttpd windows version and xampp on windows 2003 server.

When i point direct away without using php, the download speed is awesome and max out, however its not same when i used php to download files.

The download speed is not getting past 30kb+

Is there any problem within windows 2003 and php? or is there any php settings should i change? or in window 2003?

What i meant was, i created a download script, which was perfect as i have tested on few shared webhosting which can max out the speed, however when i put on my dedicated server the same script, the speed cannot go more then 30kb/s+ – JohnScout Aug 1 '10 at 8:30

2-3MB/s atleast, however when use php, its turn into 30KB/s – JohnScout Aug 2 '10 at 5:02
