I checked around in some of the previously-answered questions and didn't find anyone with a situation quite like mine, so...

background We're a small business with around 35-50 people connected to the LAN at any given time, of whom any number could be accessing the internet. We have three bonded T-1 lines providing WAN. We had a Cisco router at one point, I'm not sure which model, but that was before my time; it failed and our firewall was set up as a temporary router (yeah, I know, believe me).

problem What's a good edge router for our situation? We've got a hardware firewall (Watchguard Firebox), so we don't need a security appliance. I was thinking about something from Cisco, but frankly they've got so many options that I'm not quite sure what to even look for. I worked with Cisco's CLI ages ago, don't remember much but am not afraid of it. We don't need a lot of bells and whistles; VLAN would be nice, as would VPN, but neither are requirements. We don't need wireless, either, I've got APs around the building. We have plenty of switches, as well, and so don't need many ports.

Any ideas?

Why not just stick with the Firebox? – DanBig Aug 3 '10 at 16:55
We're having performance issues which seem to, at least in part, arise from trying to use the firebox as a router. We've got money budgeted for a replacement, and I figure it can't hurt to take some of the load off of the FW. – godheadatomic Aug 3 '10 at 18:13
