I have been connecting to my work network using VPN for some time now. It has always been on Windows machines though. I recently purchased a Mac and am trying to connect using the VPN. It seems to connect to the network successfully (asks me for logon info and then appears to accept it and says its connected). I have selected to route all traffic through the VPN and when connected the i cannot access the internet at all. I cannot access network shares, local sites or anything. I can't ping the server. Looking at the settings it has successfully recognized the DNS server on the work network and lists that.

The VPN still works fine with Windows machines. I am wondering if anyone has any idea what is going on and whether there are specific settings required server-side for mac connections.

I run SBS 2008.

Are you using SBS 2008's built-in Routing and Remote Access with PPTP? – gravyface Sep 14 '10 at 15:08
I am indeed. Any thoughts? – mwillmott Sep 15 '10 at 13:20
