I have a strange problem. When I open Windows task manager, one of my mapped network drives gets disconnected, its Z: if that is of any use.

It is always the same drive that gets disconnected, and I have several other mapped network drives which are alright.

I'm using Windows XP server pack 3, with SME Linux 8.0beta6 (the problem was still there with an earlier stable version). The problem doesn't occur with Windows 7.

SME Linux is running Samba 3.3.8-0.52.el5_5.

Any ideas for a solution to this problem? Thanks

What if you map it to another letter instead of Z? – emtunc Sep 27 '10 at 6:42
Strangly, it works! Thanks. I wonder what is going on there! – Busk Sep 27 '10 at 7:40
