I'm looking for a low cost linux shared hosting provider based in Germany in order to setup a website for a friend. The servers of the provider should be based in Germany as well - that's the target market.

i use the following one and i think that they are really good

I never used their package for webhosting. I have one VPS there and i'm quite happy. Their datacenter is in münchen.

i use flosoft http://www.flosoft.biz/products/dedicated/eco/

their starter servers are amazing good value and are not vps's, so you get 100% of your machine. Good bandwidth too! You get full root access so you can setup what you want!

tell them lee sent you and you'll they will wave setup cost's. :-)
