I just set up a AFP server running ubuntu server edition. I've got a couple of questions regarding permissions when using Netatalk.

First of is it even possible to change the permission/owner of a file/directory? In my home-directory I would like to have nicklas:nicklas as owner and 0770 as permission and in my webspace I would like to have nicklas:server and 0770, is this possible?

I can add that the webspace parent folder has drwxrwx--- 13 www-data server as permission.

I've set ~/ "$u" allow:nicklas cnidscheme:dbd options:usedots,uprivoptions:upriv dperm:0770 fperm:0660 but when a create a folder it still has drwxrwsr-x 3 nicklas nicklas as permission.

Secondly I'm wondering if it's possible to keep OSX Snow Leopard from create the Temporary Items and Network Trash Folder folders

Regards Nicklas
