I have a full MS BI stack (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server - all 2008, Developer edition) running on Windows XP Pro (work requires this OS). If a user is in the administrators group local to the machine, they can access Reporting Services from a second machine without receiving an authentication challenge (i.e. NTLM appears to be passing the credentials correctly). If the user is not in the administrators group on the SSRS box, they get the NT challenge dialog. A colleague and I have tried everything we could possibly think of as well as googling ad nauseum. I have to resolve this issue so that we can use the XP SSRS box for testing with remote users. If I can't get this done I could possibly lose my job. Please help.

Considering you have no ability to change how SSRS works I don't see how this functionality could possibly affect your job, unless you've already promised functionality without knowing whether it exists or not... What have you tried already on the client computer? Added the SSRS server to the Intranet zone yet? – Chris S Oct 18 '10 at 2:36
Are you on a domain? Or standalones? – gbn Oct 18 '10 at 4:26
