How to enable bandwith limit , for example 2Mbps/512kbps, until CPE reach 1GB total traffic, and after that to set bandwith limit to lower values? Is there any parameters in docsis config file for something like that, or I have to use some external tools (like snmp, etc)?

without information on the Cable Modem used it will be hard to help you out. If you are located behind a NAT router, I'd try looking for some settings there. (Modems are generally dumb) – pacey Nov 5 '10 at 10:23
and managed by your cable provider, i don't think they like if you start messing with anything past you demarc line. – The Unix Janitor Nov 5 '10 at 10:38
I an not a user, i am sys admin who should implement this feature manually (we already have system which does the same thing, but I dont have insight in how it actually does). So I have all acces to modems and cmtses. – Boban P. Nov 6 '10 at 7:31
There is no nat in the system. I think that modem vendor is not relevant, all modems are docsis 2.0 complaint. – Boban P. Nov 6 '10 at 7:33
