I'm not sure if this question is more appropriate for SU or SF, but we have a client running their site on a Windows Server 2008 R2. They have the admin we can use for RDP under their domain, so its not the machine name. Whenever I RDP in from Vista, I always choose to save the credentials but it always says the password is wrong. It saves the username but not the password.

Example details:

Full Computer Name: WEBAPP1234.domain.local

Domain: domain.local

RDP User: domain\Administrator

Any help would be appreciated. Also, I'd like to figure out if this is a server issue (config on 2008) or client issue (config on my local Vista).

Are you using their domain admin account or the local admin account on the server? I know when i try to login to my remote desktop server through RDP 6.1 (XP) as soon as I finish typing administrator as the user name it changes the domain to the local machine. Did you save the creds as DOMAINNAME\administrator? – Kyle Nov 8 '10 at 21:06
I used it as domain\Administrator which is the appropriate account to be using according to the IT guys. – Mark Nov 8 '10 at 21:09
