Scenario:

Our Company has an SVN repo, trunk only

Internally we want to use locally GIT, multiple branches with a stable branch.

Every time, when we finish testing out work, and push them to stable branch, we want it will be visible on the SVN trunk.

The developers should be able to pull from the SVN repo, but their never will push to SVN directly.

How is the best way to setup such scenario ?

Other than git-svn? –  Ignacio Vazquez-Abrams Nov 9 '10 at 10:22

I mean how to setup all of them, with permissions. I think developers should have Read/write access to SVN trough GIT, but all other users (not developers, admins and so on) should have read_only access to the SVN repo, to prevent conflicts on dcommit from GIT, or I'm wrong ? –  astropanic Nov 9 '10 at 10:44

SubGit may help here. –  sendmoreinfo Mar 27 '13 at 19:11
