Does anyone with experience with colo facilities in the Seattle area have recommendations? Price is a factor. If you have experience with companies in another location that also have Seattle facilities, that's useful too.

I've had good luck with similar questions previously by asking my network on linkedin. I got some excellent responses, specifically about terrestrial wireless business Internet providers in Atlanta Georgia for a conference I run the networking for. I'm located in Colorado, and find that terrestrial wireless providers, particularly at the 100mbps+ level, can be very hard to find if you aren't plugged in to the local area. Within a day or two of asking the question on linkedin, I got 3 or 4 excellent answers, one of which we used for our conference and it was rock solid and an extremely good price.

I have on occasion just gone to a Carrier Hotel to visit. Take a peek @ the board and find all the companies that are listed. The Westin Building in Seattle is such a place. This will give you the ability to see who is there - and get the lay of the land. Simply call each company and see if they will see you @ the drop of a hat. If they cannot - than chances are they will not be able to help you in a drop of a hat either when the time comes. Take it from someone in the Colo business for over 15 years now.

This question would only be relevant to a small geographic area [...] that is not generally applicable to the worldwide audience of the internet.Don't worry, we're not picking on you - there are probably over a hundred instances of people asking for "x" in "y" and they're all closed. – Mark Henderson♦ Nov 18 '10 at 2:10
