I have installed Ubuntu 9.04 on a virtual machin using VMWare workstation. I have WIndows 7 as my host OS. I want to connect to internet from Ubuntu. Can anyone please gives steps about how to connect to internet through guuest OS?

Can you please provide more information about 1) your existing internet connection 2) how you have configured the network interfaces on your virtual machine (ie are you using NAT) ? – SLY Nov 24 '10 at 17:12
I have broadband connection and I dont know much bout my network interface. One guy from my ISP came and installed everything. – Shekhar Nov 24 '10 at 17:26
