My Blog's URL: http://hrishichoudhari89.blogspot.com Browser used: FF 3.6 Location: Mumbai

Well I had a Blogger blog at http://hrishikeshchoudhari.com/ I had purchased the domain from within Google, (redirected to GoDaddy) and also am using Google Apps Free Ed.

Today I redirected the above domain to my hosting at Bluehost (I wanted to host my own Wordpress blog).

At GoDaddy I changed the nameservers to ns1.bluehost.com and ns2.bluehost.com. I also added the CNAME for mail.hrishikeshchoudhari.com to point to ghs.google.com. Also added MX records to Bluehost for google.

However, my main problem is that on the new WP blog (on Bluehost), when I try to import my Blogger blog (which is now at http://hrishichoudhari89.blogspot.com/), I get this error:

The page you have requested cannot be displayed. Another site was requesting access to your Google Account, but sent a malformed request. Please contact the site that you were trying to use when you received this message to inform them of the error. A detailed error message follows: The site "http://hrishikeshchoudhari.com" has not been registered.

Is there anything wrong with my setup ? Any other records / details I should be updating ??

As zaub3r3r suggested above, I checked out http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/cannot-import-from-blogger-1/page/4?replies=115

There they provide a lot of solutions.

  1. Try importing from blogger to a free WP.com account. Then from the WP.com account export a WXR file. Then log in into your self-hosted WP site, then upload it.

  2. Use http://blogger2wordpress.appspot.com/ Just log in to your Blogger account. Export your blog from there. It will give you an XML file. Just save it to your computer. Then go to http://blogger2wordpress.appspot.com/. Upload that file over there. It'll return another XML file to you. Just save this one too, but rename it to wordpress-wxr.wxr. Now log into your self-hosted WP account, just upload this WXR file, and you're good to go.

As is obvious, I used the 2nd method. It didnt work for some people. But it worked flawlessly for me.
