I can not find any opensource Socks5 server for ubuntu, I need to use Socks5 server to proxy

client to access, can anyone help me ?

Squid can do socks5 if its compiled in

Looks like ssh might be able to do it.. untested but checkout

If i use ssh, I do not know how to make all the request send by ssh in the windows client. I only know it can be set in firefox :) – larry Dec 1 '10 at 2:58

@why, socks5 is not a VPN, support by the client is pretty much required. – Zoredache Dec 1 '10 at 3:18

ss5 is a high-performance, dedicated SOCKS4, SOCKS4a and SOCKS5 proxy for Linux, Solaris and FreeBSD.
