The cloud hosting services are risky from an economic standpoint, why do not you have no control over the bandwidth?

Myth or Reality ?

Note: this question is posed by the perspective of small business activities. Of course for the big enterprise the infinite bandwidth can be an advantage.

Yeah, we make it a habit to check our Amazon EC2 account (almost) each day to avoid such surprises. Not a big issue, since we login daily for our work.

You do have control over the bandwidth. Why would you not?

On a service like Amazon S3 you can not limit the bandwidth to use for avoid extra costs if I remember correctly. – Sebtm Dec 12 '10 at 12:24

Myth or Reality ?

Delusion. Or: it is like saying when you rent a car you dont know how much fuel you have. You are WLAYS having coordination / payment issues with your bandwidth.
