we've run an Citrix Farm with 4 x Windows 2008 x64 (XenApp 5.0 FP3) and one server Win 2003 x86 (Xenapp 4.6). Yesterday we had a strange problem with Session logins. Existing Sessions could work without problems but new logins were not possible. In the AMC we could not see the Sessions on the Servers. After an reboot all worked fine again. We run the 32 Bit Server since 3 days in our farm (for one Application). Could it be possible that this behavior is caused of the mixed farm?

-- (we got in this time a lot of wmi warnings that the Provider CitrixEvemtProv has been registered but it does not correctly impersonate user requests.

This would be better off asked on SO. A mod will probably notice it and move it shortly. – Journeyman Geek Dec 16 '10 at 9:35
@The Journeyman geek - would it not be better on Server Fault? Also, if you're not aware, you have enough reputation to vote to close the question yourself, so we (the community we) can do so without waiting for moderator intervention (note you can also vote to migrate; vote off-topic and you can choose the location to migrate to). – DMA57361 Dec 16 '10 at 9:43
Sadly i don't have enough reputation to vote for migration. So it would be nice to close this and i will ask the question on SF. – Patrick Schneider Dec 16 '10 at 10:05
my bad.I meant Server Fault, but typed SO for some odd reason. I haven't been using this as much as i should it seems - voted to move. – Journeyman Geek Dec 16 '10 at 11:10
one you get 250 rep, you can vote to move/close your own questions; once you get to 3000 you can vote to move/close anybody's. In the meantime, no worries, enough people have voted on it to move it for you. – nhinkle Dec 17 '10 at 21:41

This question came from our site for computer enthusiasts and power users.

Since everything worked fine after the reboot I doubt your farm being mixed had anything to do with it. It's more likely that domain policies were not applied for some reason and when you rebooted the policies were applied.

THr Problem was the use of the server. At the moment the server is online but no Apps are Published on this. The Group Policiy thing is a good hint! Thanks for that – Patrick Schneider Jan 4 '11 at 11:14
