I need to setup a network of virtual boxes in two laptops. Each laptop has one virtual box. The laptops are connected using a crossover cable. I have set the IPs to 192.168.0.1 192.168.0.2 for the laptops and 192.168.0.10 192.168.0.20 for the Virtual boxes and used bridged connection. The problem is that I can not ping from the first laptop's VirtualBox the virtual box of the second and vice versa. any ideas? thanks thodoris

OK problem solved. I use windows hosts and ubuntu guests. There was a problem with the windows firewalls... Now everything works fine, but still when I ping from a ubuntu guest to a host windows machine I get no response while when I ping from the windows to ubuntu I see the machine. the problem is considered solved since I can communicate between the two virtual boxes.
