i am trying to set up an server with lighttpd and tomcat my conf is below

i am getting an error

2011-02-02 16:23:53: (configfile.c.907) source: /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf line: 17 pos: 18 parser failed somehow near here: mod_proxy 

is there is any thing else i missed...

It's a parser error. You're missing the comma right before mod_proxy.

Or rather, after "mod_compress". Not that it matters, but readability does :-) –  Htbaa Feb 14 '11 at 14:03
