How can I simulate 802.11 with WEP encryption on a wire or within a single system?

I'm not the most knowledgeable in this area; but I believe a lot of the WEP and related functions are implemented in hardware, so you'd need specialized software to simulate the whole stack. – Chris S♦ Feb 10 '11 at 13:59
