We will be going with Backup Exec2010 for our new Hyper-V server on windows2008 R2. Has anyone used the continuous protection server? I understand that it comes with Backup exec. Does it need a dedicated server? Can it be installed with backup exec on the hyper-v host? Can we use an external storage for holding the data?

Any comments on how it works?
