What tools should be in your Desktop Support Arsenal? [duplicate]

As a Desktop Support Specialist there are a few tools that I use to track down issues on my users machines, Sysinternals Suite and WinDBG to name a few. What other Free/Pay tools would you recommend and why?

I find that Spybot Search and Destroy comes in very handy (moreso for remote machines rather than corporate desktops, but even there on occasion). In addition to its malware scanning, it has options for startup entries, registry scanner, and other very useful tools.

You mentioned the Sysinternals tools, but just to call out the ones I like from them as well as some others.

• Process Monitor - For File and Registry Access
• Process Explorer - What Task Manager should be
• AutoRuns - Good for finding all items that auto start.
• WireShark - For capturing detailed network traffic from a system.
