I'm about to launch a Q and A site in México, and I want your insight to choose the right server, im a designer so I don't have much server knowledge. I asked my development team, but i want more ideas.

I was thinking in VPS.net, they have a node based servers and eleven2.

Depends, are you looking for a VPS, or just hosting content.

Also depends on the functionality you want/need.

You'll pay more if you want something like amazon's EC2, which gives you the ability to upload your own iso's. etc. Rackspace's cloud server has excellent support, but an open/flat internal network, and no ability to share private ip's between boxes.

Figure out your requirements first, and we can go from there.

If your just doing a vanilla install, I prefer rackspace. If you're doing more though, and want your setup more akin to an actual setup such as /private/dmz/office/ etc. then you're going to want to look elsewhere. – rfelsburg Apr 15 '11 at 2:51
