Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Let's say that I have www.cathegory-one.com and I wish to redirect it to www.mydomain.com/cathegory-one. How can be achieved this? Using a html redirect it is not a clean solution( i think).

offtopic: from seo point of view, do you see any problem about this scenario?

What webserver? Each server has its own way of handling such redirects using the http protocol instead of an html page. – DerfK Apr 19 '11 at 18:35
