Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I've been using an external hosting service for my project management, however recently it became very unstable. I'm now willing to find another service however the major problem is migration. The service that I use now is TRAC-based. I need to be able to export my Git repository (this is easy) and my wiki pages (not so easy) to the new service that I'll choose. I haven't chosen the new service just yet - the import/export capability is one of the criteria. What would you recommend?

Are you running Trac on a server, or is it a hosted Trac service? If it's the latter, your only option might be to ask the provider to a dump of your database. Trac doesn't have any built-in export functions. (Or it didn't last time I looked, but it's been a while since I've used it) If it's the former, it should be easy. I think the default DB is sqlite. You should be able to simply copy the file into place on your new host and update the new Trac instance config to point to it. –  SmallClanger Apr 21 '11 at 11:08

Hmm, interesting - I'll try that. –  julkiewicz Apr 21 '11 at 11:11
