Before putting a particular XP pro machine on my domain (which uses roaming profiles), IE8 worked without a hitch for all local users. After adding it, all local users can still use IE8, but for domain users, after starting it immediately crashes (and appears to zombify, as it remains in the task list until killed). I've tried creating new users, using different users, and wiping an existing user, none of which work.

Does IE8 have trouble with roaming profiles? What tree can I bark up to resolve this?

Have you tried opening IE in safe mode? I had this problem and seem to remember it was something with the Adobe plug-in... – charnley May 4 '11 at 14:34
