I have 40+ Macs (10.4 - 10.6) and I need to run a script that will join them to an MS Server 2008 Active Directory, Convert local profiles to Mobile profiles, and perform some other tweaks for security on each Mac.
I have to make some variable changes for each machine (i.e. Local user name). The process I would like to use would be something like this: 1) Modify the script for a specific machine 2) Contact the user via phone to make sure all work is saved and applications are closed 3) launch terminal 4) Connect to the remote machine via > ssh administrator@[machinename].local 5) launch the script via > sudo [ServerPath]/join_ad.sh
My problem is that I'm fairly new to Mac Scripting and Terminal and I don't know how to properly call the [ServerPath]. I know on a PC Command prompt I can simply use \\server\share\join_ad.sh. How do I perform a similar remote file call on the Mac Terminal?
Thanks a bunch for any suggestions you may have!
