Is there any way to completely automate driver installation in Windows 7?

I need to: 1. Completely uninstall previous driver including its software 2. Restart computer 3. Install new drivers from specified folder 4. Restart computer again

Maybe there are some programs that can do this. Or it can be done somehow by DevCon (points 1 and 3).

You can try using two scripts:

  1. The first one uninstalls the old driver, writes the second script path in Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run registry key and triggers a reboot.
  2. The second one (launched automatically by Windows) removes the registry entry, launches the new driver installation and triggers another reboot at the end.

Good idea for realization of automatic installation after computer restart, but I'm mostly interested in implementation of driver installation scripts. –  xCOREx May 19 '11 at 7:52
