Has anyone hired any 'part-time' Sql Server DBA that they would recommend? We have a fast growing DB at a small fast growing company and are not quite ready for a full time guy but really could use a steady DBA at least 10 per week.

This is off topic for Serverfault. I would, though, start with your local SQL Server User Group. Here's the link to the Charleston SQLPASS chapter, although I'm not sure how active they are down there: charleston.sqlpass.org – squillman May 24 '11 at 15:05

Questions on Server Fault are expected to generally relate to servers, networking, or desktop infrastructure, within the scope defined in the faq.

Pythian are brilliant. I've worked loosly with them on the Oracle side and they have some of the best Oracle DBA's in the world.

They also support SQL Server and MySQL.
