I have a Windows virtual pc 2007 VM on my Windows 7 pc. The VM has windows 2008 Server installed. But its C: is only 10 GB in size and now I need to extend it. I can add new disks fine. But I need to extend the existing OS drive (c:) in order to apply windows 2008 SP2. I followed this article to extend the OS drive but at the end I only get the following error when I am trying to use the bigger drive to bootup my VM: enter image description here

Any help please?

Thanks in advance

Personally I use VirtualBox and I know that you can create ether a fixed of dynamic virtual Drive. VirtualPC I'm not sure If this is a new install you may want to give virtualbox a try instead of virtual pc. I have found it to be more versatile – Branden Jun 2 '11 at 7:04
Branden, he's talking about the size of the virtual disk, as presented to the VM, not about whether it's fixed or dynamic. – Jake Oshins Jun 2 '11 at 16:54
