I was trying to install some packages, and now I'm getting tired of this error message:

Yum is notoriously bad at giving useful errors, and the stack-traces often don't help.

I would first try a yum clean all, and see of this is triggered by old cache data.

Make sure you have a sane values in /etc/yum/pluginconf.d/fastestmirror.conf. You could disable fastestmirror entirely to see if it's really at fault here as well.

Thanx man, looks the fastestmirror is the problem :) –  Eddsstudio Jun 7 '11 at 12:08
