On Windows XP I was able to apply a policy which will import the reg key settings for setting "open in the same windows" from the folder option. However, I noticed that it is not applying on Windows 7. When I check the policy and make a parallel test the option button was moved or it is already selected. The "open in the same windows" option is set but when the user opens a folder from explorer it opens in another window. Any thoughts?

btw here is the reg key Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CabinetSta‌​te] "Settings"=hex:0c,00,02,00,0a,01,00,00,60,00,00,00 "FullPath"=dword:00000000 and it works on XP. – user77153 Jun 10 '11 at 21:33
