That's what I'm looking for. It has to be free for commercial use and I can put up any kind of server (with any kind of operating system) to run it. We'd like to share microsoft office compatible documents, calendars and tasks, mainly. Http and less client software installation would be a plus. The easier the better. Keeping our email service on our isp server if mandatory.

Dozens of them. Describe your needs and wants better and you'll get better answers. Will all the clients be accessing the server only via HTTP? Does it need to support outlook for calendaring, or Windows filesharing for documents? Do you need versioning or other editing tools built into the server? – mfinni Jun 16 '11 at 16:47
:O dozens sounds great :D The more is similar to google's apps the better it is. If it works only via http (so I don't need to install software) is way better. The final dream would be documents, tasks, calendar. We have mail on our isp. Windows filesharing is also a possibility... – Pitto Jun 17 '11 at 9:22

Fengoffice is good too (opensource, php)

There is Zimbra, which has an open source edition. The OSE doesn't have some of the features of the paid versions they offer, but it does seem to have all the features you're looking for.
