I just installed a new Debian Squeeze server and now it is reporting an incorrect idle time. Not too sure where it is getting its information but I can't seem to figure this one out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

And of course, you've updated everything before posting? (apt-get update;apt-get upgrade;apt-get dist-upgrade) [no offence intended] –  Doc Jun 24 '11 at 16:40

Yes, I did, my idle time is also identical to my uptime –  Jonathan Jun 24 '11 at 17:36

Is this a "guest" system running under a hypervisor (e.g. VMware, Virtualbox, Parallels, etc.)? –  user48838 Jun 25 '11 at 9:01

It is a virtuozzo system, not a guest system, though, i had them for several years until i recently upgraded it to Squeeze from Lenny, i never seen the issue until now. –  Jonathan Jun 27 '11 at 13:42
