We are using Endian 4i VPN appliances to connect two remote offices to our main office in DC where we have an Endian Mini. We have no trouble with one of the offices (Seattle). Any time day or night, we can reach their system. However, our other office in Boston seems to have a timeout problem. When users are in the office we can talk to each other - but on weekends and evenings when users leave that office, the connection seems to die and DC cannot connect to Boston at all.
In order to revive the connection, I have to log in using logmein to one of their computers and hit the DC server. This seems to wake the connection up and from there I can see Boston from DC.
All sites use Comcast Business class connections with static IPs.
What could be the issue here and are there any settings I could tweak or a script I could use to keep this connection active?
