Working on setting up an AP that is separated from the normal LAN.

I have tried using the VLAN function of the router, then using the AP to dish out it's own network range but when using the VLAN setup i do not get any DHCP or DNS settigns from the AP and instead get them from the Router.

I need to be able to access the internet but not the Local servers, Not bothered about being on a different network ( DHCP working on the AP ) but i would like to control what the DNS the AP clients use.

It seems like an easy and obvious request and reading the documentation and such suggested this should be OK to implement but the DNS stuff is giving me issues and I'm not sure what to do next. I tried setting the AP to Isolate the LAN which gave me the DHCP and DNS settings from the AP but i could not then access the gateway ( Router ) so internet access was removed.

Any advice peeps?
