I seem to remember (but can't recall the name) a piece of open-source software that provided a web-based interface for some server processes. What is the name of that software? It manages a lot of services like ldap and web and samba shares even (I think).

Does anyone know what that is, or have a suggestion to some software solutions that can help make my life easier as a sysadmin? The services I need to monitor/configure are bind dns, apache http,squid proxy, ldap(or some authentication method), and postgres and mysql databases. All my servers are running Linux (Debian and CentOS) currently.

Well, both would be cool, but I'm looking for a management tool preferably, but probably will have to rely on manual config files as my internal network is..... interesting :D – Jesse Carpenter Jul 14 '11 at 20:54

Webmin?

Possible alternative: GOsa2

Also, remember that at least Samba offers it own management interface in the form of SWAT.

You are probably thinking of Webmin. It ahas been around for a number of years.
