Yesterday I downloaded the Exchange 2010 SP1 package from Microsofts site. It's currently in the middle of the upgrade process, at the step "Copy Exchange Files". There are 35 minutes elapsed, but there's still no sign of any progress.
It's a single server running the AD and Exchange, so there's no DAG or other distributed stuff. The server is running Windows Server 2008 R2. Before the upgrade all the updates were installed, that was until Rollup 5.
I noticed that all Exchange services that start automatically, are still running, although the setup was "Stopping Services" in the beginning. Might this be the source of the problem? Something else is that I didn't run the setup.exe as an administrator (although I'm logged in as 'Administrator').
My first thought would be canceling the upgrade, but since the step "Remove Exchanges Files" is already completed I'm afraid I'll mess up everything by canceling now.
Does anybody have an idea how I can complete the upgrade (or rollback)?
