We have a Dell PowerEdge running Windows 2008 Foundation Server R2 that is sharing directories from a Drobo Pro to about 20 Macs running OS X 10.6.8 over SMB.

At some point in time the connection between the Macs and the Windows server is severed which renders the Macs unable to reconnect to our server. Once the connection to the server is severed Finder becomes unresponsive. Trying to relaunch finder brings up a dialog saying "This application cannot be opened -10180".

We believe this issue has something to due with SMB, but we are not sure if the problem is with the server or with clients.

Here is an excerpt from one of the clients System.log relating to the issue.

Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Please excuse my newbie-ness, I am still learning.
