SBS 2003 server has two network adapters; one was disabled (have a Sonicwall doing NAT). To troubleshoot server network problem (slow performance every afternoon, pinging server from workstation goes from < 1 ms to about 170ms, no problem from workstation to workstation), we enabled the disabled one, disabled the enabled one, put the server's IP on the now-enabled one. No problem seen at server, but after restarting our test Win7 machine, it could not access anything, LAN or external. In Network & Sharing Center showed what used to be the domain network as "Unknown". Could not change it to domain. How can we convince Win7 that it is still on the domain network?

Have you verified the DNS settings on the client and the server and verfified the DNS server configuration on the server? – joeqwerty Aug 2 '11 at 1:36
