I installed the pcntl module by following this tutorial. Everything installed fine but when I try to check the module by doing this: php -i | grep pcntl, I get an error saying that:

Did find: /usr/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626/pcntl.so: mach-o, but wrong architecture in Unknown on line 0

I am on a mac and based on my reading online, i found this PHP is not built in 64 bit, trying to load a 64 bit module to a 32 bit application is not a right thing. Now I am not able to install the one that will say x86_64. Can anyone please advise me on how to install it? thanks.

I don't see the module when I see the php info page. I searched this site before posting and I see that most of it are for linux based OS and the set up is different for mac.

the CFLAGS="-arch i386" is what you want to build the 32-bit module (from @quanta's link) –  DTest Aug 5 '11 at 2:14
