I have created a vm profile using vm studio and I have selected Linux SuSe 11 to be installed on the newly created VM. As for the network option I have selected staic ip and provided ip address, DNS, Default gateway and subnet mask in the configuration file itself. Still when I deploy it on vCenter as a ova file by selecting 'Deploy ovf template', It prompts me to enter the hos details like the hostname, cluster, datacenter name etc. (Which is also there in the xml configuration of the vm profile) and the ip address, subnet, dns and default gateway.

Why should be done to avoid these prompts ?

If I deploy the ova file with ovftool where it is a silent deployment, the newly created vm doesn't have any ip assigned.

What is the solution to have the network settings auto-configured with the provided network settings in the xml vm profile ?
