I need to work on linux (CentOS) and i like it to be installed on my windows pc using VMWare (can be other VMhost).

Also I need it to be accessed via putty on the same machine.

The problem is when I did it before it always took me a lot of time to configure the SSH server and the Linux iptables firewall to make it work as i like.

Now i lost the document that explain me all this. What is the fastest way to setup such a thing?
